Time Limits + Cutoff Points

For the safety of all participants and the community, our City permits require a 4-hour time limit, measured from 8:55 am or prior if the last runner starts before 8:55 am. This equates to an 18:20-per-mile pace. However, early course cutoff points will be enforced at a 17:00-per-mile pace to facilitate road reopenings.

Time Limit Cutoff Points:
Runners must reach the following points within the required schedule. Runners falling behind this schedule will be given the following options;

    1. Take event SAG Wagon transport to the Finish Line Area
    2. Return to athlete’s vehicle or shuttle buses at Start Line Area on sidewalks/trails following all pedestrian laws
    3. Continue towards the Finish Line Area on sidewalks/trails following all pedestrian laws
    4. Receive transport/pickup from course by own arrangement (friend, family, ride-share app)

Runners that are cutoff due to time limit and pace requirements are no longer considered participants of the in-person event and will be recorded as DNF on the in-person race results.  Athlete’s that decline transport from the course will not have police support, traffic control support, medical support or aid station support as these services end following the cutoff times. Cutoff athletes will be given the option to submit a virtual race result to earn a medal.

Pacing Recommendation:
If you are concerned about meeting the time limits, we strongly recommend starting with the 2:20 pace group rather than at the back of the pack to give yourself additional time to stay on schedule.

Finish Line and Athlete Village:
The finish line results will close at 12:55 PM and Athlete Village services close at 1:30PM.

Race officials may adjust time limits as needed for participant flow and overall safety.
